American outdoor and lifestyle retailer Lands' End has made its in-store entry into the UK market, with the launch of five concession stands in department store group House of Fraser.
The first concession stands have opened in House of Fraser's stores at Intu Lakeside in Essex and Norwich on August 18 and 22 respectively. Three additional concessions will be opened in Birmingham, Bournemouth and Bristol on September 1, 4 and 9.
“Now our [UK] customers will have another way to shop with us,” said managing director for the brand, Sara Prowse, to Drapers. Each concession is set to offer a curated selection of Lands' End fall 14 women's wear and accessories, which may be expanded to include menswear and childrenswear in the future if there is sufficient demand for it.
Land's End has operated within the UK since 1993, when it first launched its catalogue. The multichannel fashion retailer operates local UK website in addition to its outlet store in Rutland, East Midlands.
