Abercrombie Kids lands in the UK with debut store opening

American fashion label Abercrombie & Fitch is set to open its first children's

wear store in the UK.

The debut store, which will open its doors in August 30, is located at the Beatles' former headquarters at 3 Savile Row, opposite Abercrombie & Fitch's flagship store.

The store will offer clothing and apparel for children, as well as in-store memorabilia from the Beatles and Apple Records. Vintage glass cases will also be placed at the store's entrance, showcasing photographs, records books as well as a guitar signed by Sir Paul McCartney.

“The Beatles are music legends and we’re fortunate to be able to open our first kids flagship in the UK in this location,” said Mike Jeffries, Abercrombie & Fitch chief executive to Retail Week.

The US retailer worked alongside with English Heritage, the natural and cultural preservation agency to help restore the building's original features, with emphasis placed on recreating its wood paneling, paint finishes and ceiling details.

Abercrombie & Fitch is thought to have been searching for the right store located to launch its Abercrombie Kids format in London since its renewed its contract for its flagship store in Mayfair until 2021 in 2011.
