Vanity Fair names Beckham’s on best dressed list

The debate of Brand Beckham’s Stateside popularity continues as the couple have made Vanity Fair magazine's list of the best dressed people in the world.

David and Victoria are one of just 10 couples named in the annual fashion poll.
They rub shoulders in the magazine with other best dressed couples such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Viscount and Viscountess Linley.

Explaining why Mr and Mrs Beckham are on the list, the Vanity Fair entry says: "Because the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."

It names David's style icon as Steve McQueen and Victoria's as Audrey Hepburn.

The 68th annual best-dressed list for the New York-produced magazine was based on a poll of fashion industry experts.

Intimate apparel maker Vanity Fair announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a U.S. license agreement with Jaclyn, Inc. of New York to produce a complete collection of Vanity Fair robes and sleepwear. The debut collection sleepwear has been developed and will bow at department stores in Fall 2003.

Kathy Reynolds, VP and general manager, Vanity Fair, said: "Jaclyns new sleepwear product concepts for Vanity Fair will further enhance our brand's presence in the market."
