Trussardi chairman dies at 29

Francesco Trussardi, chairman of the immensely popular Italian fashion house died on Sunday at the age of 29. Police said that Trussardi, son of the late founder of the Trussardi fashion house, was killed in a car crash near Bergamo in northern Italy.

Trussardi apparently lost control of his Ferrari. He was driving to Bergamo when the car plowed into a lamppost in Telgate. Francesco and his sister Beatrice took over Trussardi SpA after their father and the founder of the design house, Nicola Trussardi, was killed in a car crash near Milan in April 1999 at the age of 56.

Trussardi is one of Italy's most popular brands, featuring jeans, leather jackets, handbags and accessories.
