Tom Tailor signs with Wella

German clothing brand Tom Tailor has signed a licensing agreement with beauty manufacturer Wella, through subsidiary Cosmopolitan Cosmetics. Cosmopolitan will market fragrances and bodycare products under the Tom Tailor brand. A Tom Tailor men's fragrance line will be launched in autumn 2004. Plans for further lines have not yet been elaborated, a Cosmopolitan spokesperson said.

"Tom Tailor is a young brand with great international potential. We anticipate further growth in the men's fragrance segment, especially on the strongest growing markets in Europe," Wella CEO Heiner Gürtler said in a statement.

Tom Tailor clothes and accessories products are available in 850 stores and shop-in-shops in 80 markets. The brand previously marketed fragrance and bodycare products through a licensing agreement with German manufacturer Cosko, which has now expired, a Tom Tailor spokesperson explained.
