Lectra presents its innovative solutions for industrial fabrics at the JEC Composite Show

Paris, April 10, 2006 – Lectra demonstrated the added value of its solutions dedicated to industrial fabrics and, for the first time in France, presented its new ProSpinTechTexST cutting solution at the JEC Composite Show, held in Paris, France from March 28 to 30. "Lectra's offering provides players in the industrial fabrics sector with innovative design, development and automatic cutting solutions that fully satisfy their demands,” declared Lectra CEO, Daniel Harari.

ProSpinTechTexST, the new single-ply cutter for industrial fabrics from Lectra

For the first time at a French trade show, Lectra demonstrated the high performance of its new single-ply cutting solution, ProSpinTechTexST, which has been developed to meet the needs and overcome the constraints of heavy users of industrial fabrics. This new solution was favorably received by more than one hundred international visitors to Lectra's stand. With highly varied profiles, companies employing industrial fabrics share a common quest for extreme material cutting accuracy and ongoing improvement in the quality of their production. In an environment that dictates ever-tighter deadlines and in which cost control are major strategic issues, the optimization of material consumption and the reliability of manufacturing processes have become essential.

ProSpinTechTexST enables companies to achieve significantly shorter production times and lower operating costs. This flexible, versatile cutter, designed both for the development and industrialization of products and for small and medium diversified production runs, adapts perfectly to all working environments. Highly accurate, it guarantees a cutting quality that meets the demands of companies using industrial fabrics, regardless of the type of materials and shape of parts to be cut. Associated with Lectra’s marker-making software DiaminoTechTex, ProSpinTechTexST provides substantial material savings.

ProSpinTechTexST is part of a coherent offering for the production of industrial fabrics. Specializing in large production runs and difficult materials, VectorComposite is a multi-ply cutter dedicated to the manufacture of technical pieces which can be seamlessly integrated into any production organization. With a cutting quality that meets the high demands of industry players, VectorComposite guarantees cutting room flexibility and productivity and offers total product traceability.

Optimize product development with the 2D/3D virtual prototyping solution

Also presented on the stand during the JEC Composite Show was DesignConcept TechTex, software ensuring extremely accurate 3D and 2D model flattening, regardless of model complexity. This provides designers with a realistic simulation of the final rendering and allows them to analyze the technical and economic feasibility before the critical prototype development phase. Cost estimates are calculated very early and this makes decision-taking easier.
"The JEC Composite Show provided Lectra with the opportunity to reaffirm, more forcefully than ever, the strength of its solutions and its emphasis on innovation. The expertise and broad experience of our teams make Lectra the ideal partner to boost product quality and increase competitiveness in these high technology markets,” concluded Bernard Karmin, Director of Lectra France.
