Eton Celebrates 75 Years in Fashion

Nothing beats a pure white shirt in 100% non-iron cotton from ETON, as 75 years of history reveal. Men's shirt supplier Eton is celebrating 75 years in fashion and marking its anniversary by opening its first UK store.

The site of the new 800sq ft shop is in Holborn, London, formerly occupied by menswear independent The Shirt Press. Eton further plans to open a concession within Selfridges Bullring store. Eton already has a concession at Selfridges London.

Eton opens first store

Eton Fashion AB, the Swedish manufacturer of upscale shirts, has opened its first own store in Copenhagen. The company that is bases in Ganghester and was founded in 1929, is regarded as the market leader in Scandinavia. To date its products are sold through local international distributors only.

The opening in Copenhagen is the first step towards Eton's worldwide retail presence with own stores, which will include stores in the UK, the US, Italy and the Netherlands. According to a spokeswoman for Eton, a store will open in London next year and will be followed by openings in New York in 2004 and Milan and Amsterdam in 2005.
