Fashion event Clothes Show Live continues to be a pioneering force on the size zero debate. Last year, the Clothes Show banned
size zero models from its catwalks. Viewing 250 potential models and dancers for 2008, the show has a firm view against the considered unhealthy size. It has denied participation of size zero models for a second year, to promote a healthy body image and a responsible fashion industry.
The fashion industry have been heavily criticized for continuing to use models who are an American size zero, a UK size four. According to medical research a size zero cannot be achieved without endangering a model’s health. Clothes Show Live wants to present fashion that can look great on healthy models. Clothes Show Live supports all measures taken by the British Fashion Council to promote a healthy and a responsible fashion environment backstage at London Fashion Week.
On 5-10th December, Clothes Show Live is taking place in Birmingham NEC, tickets are available online from ticketswitch.com.
