Beckham's pose for W Magazine
America's top fashion magazine, W, has chosen Victoria and David Beckham, aka Posh and Becks for it's August cover. The duo, also known as Brand Beckham, have embarked on one of the most aggressive pr campaigns seen this year in order to be ‘liked' by the Americans.
For the cover, the couple strike a sultry pose, but things get more seductive in a photo spread inside. Steven Klein's photos show the pair in various states of undress, kissing passionately, sunning themselves atop a car and having an intimate moment in the bedroom.
The 32-year-old soccer star and his wife, Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, will be seen in an NBC special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," to air Monday. It follows Beckham, 33, as she prepares to move from Europe to Los Angeles, where her husband will play for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
"I think people are really going to see me for the first time," Victoria Beckham tells the magazine. "I think they have this impression that I'm this miserable cow who doesn't smile. But I'm actually quite the opposite." The couple, who were married in September 1999, got together in 1997 after meeting at a soccer game in London.

Ralph Lauren in Beckham publicity stunt
One wouldn't normally accuse the Beckham's of being publicity shy. However the famous couple was very upset when Ralph Lauren's press office launched a release their sons wore Polo by Ralph Lauren to ex Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's christening, without having given consent. Ralph Lauren issued a press release shortly after the christening revealing that the couple's elder children, Brooklyn and Romeo, had worn 250 pounds Ralph Lauren Wimbledon blazers to the event.
In its press release the American designer declared: "Polo Ralph Lauren is pleased to announce that Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham wore the children's Wimbledon blazer by Ralph Lauren to the christening of Geri Halliwell's daughter Bluebell, 22nd April 07. Please note that these photos are not the property of Polo Ralph Lauren, for reference only."
"Victoria and David are fiercely protective of their three sons and went apoplectic when they discovered what Ralph Lauren had done. Neither of them gave their consent for this - as far as they were concerned they went to a friend's private christening with their kids. It's one thing if they are on the red carpet or at a showbiz bash, but this is just ridiculous - and totally irresponsible," the Mirror quoted the insider, as saying. Ralph Lauren subsequently issued an apology upon the Beckham's request stating they had not endorsed the release and the media should ignore it.

Partners in business and crime
We all know that Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes are the hottest new Hollywood couple since Fred and Ginger. Shopping with your new best friend has never been such fun. What might be even more fun is making money together. The duo, who now also have children in common, have decided to bundle their talents and work on their own range of children's wear.
“They are both really excited about this new project,” a source told the Daily Express. “Katie recently sketched out some designs for a party dress for Suri's first birthday and Victoria saw there was the potential there for the two of them to come up with some great designs. As they are both mothers who love fashion, it couldn't have been more ideal for them.” Between them, the women have four children, three boys for Victoria and a daughter, Suri, for Katie and husband Tom Cruise.

David Beckham on Viva! Black-list
Footballer and metrosexual extraordinaire David Beckham has landed himself on the black-list of animal rights group Viva! Apparently, he has infuriated them by wearing football boots made of kangaroo skin. The boots were made by Adidas, who has reportedly claimed that the boots were manufactured in line with Australian government rules.
“Like Viva! Adidas is opposed to kangaroos being killed in an inhumane or unnecessarily cruel manner,” an Adidas spokesperson has been reported as saying. “This is why we insist that our suppliers fully comply with the Australian government's strict rules on kangaroo culling.” Meanwhile, rumour has it that David has upped the security at his homes as a result.

Advice from Auntie Posh
Victoria Beckham was overheard giving advice to newly separated Elle Macpherson at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park on Saturday. According to contactmusic.com, the 42-year-old supermodel was overheard confessing her difficulties to the size 0 footballers wife. "It's been a terrible time," she was apparently overheard saying. "I've found it very difficult to cope."
Posh launched in as only a seasoned agony aunt could. "Elle, listen to me," she reportedly said. "What you need to do is just block people out and deal with it on your own. People are going to want to call you and speak to you about it, but don't. Shut them out and deal with it by yourself. You can, I know you can." And we all know Posh is speaking from extensive experience.

David Beckham unveils his new sportswear range
David Beckham this week kicked off his new men's footwear and clothing line at the Adidas flagship in SoHo, New York.
Beckham, sporting a shaggy hairdo, was introduced by pounding drums and an enormous paper dragon, keeping in step with his Asian-inspired collection, called Predator. The soccer icon, who is well-known for his style off the field, wore the new Dragon Predator Pulse boots Tuesday night when the England National team defeated Colombia in a friendly game at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
Beckham's performance and lifestyle products include sneakers, boots, hooded jackets, jerseys and pants. They were developed in conjunction with Adidas. Each piece has an embroidered Asian-inspired dragon design. Another Becks
Victoria Beckham has given birth to a son. Number three is called Cruz, which by all accounts, is a girl's name. A Spanish language tutor at Oxford University found the choice ridiculous: "I think it is quite a stupid name, quite frankly. They will have problems in Spain because it is seen as a name for girls."
It really is quite silly that they don't seem to have cottoned on to this fact after actually having lived in Spain, although Posh did manage to spend as little time there as possible.
However, Cruz's parents are delighted and not to be deterred. Following the birth on Sunday David made an announcement outside the hospital: "I have two beautiful sons already and now I have another son called Cruz. He is beautiful. He is in there with his brothers now and he is very happy."

Posh Prefers Fashion
Victoria Beckham recently confessed she prefers fashion over music. By admitting she isn't the world's greatest singer her pop career is taking a backseat to fashion design, something she feels she is talented at, as it 'comes natural.'
Her recent designs for Rock and Republic are gaining wide media attention, but if the clothes are worth their wear is another matter. Go to Harvey Nichols and try for yourself!

Becks Appeal
Men
& fashion. It's an underrated topic, yet one where great changes are taking
place as we speak. With last week's men's fashion shows in Milan having achieved
furore in the international press, menswear is back in business with a full
on agenda.
A market worth GBP 6,245.6m, British men are spending more on clothes than ever before. While the relationship between runway clothes and reality may not always be translated into wearability, men are currently experimenting more with fashion and, as trendsportter Marin Salzman, co-author of the upcoming marketing book Buzz: Harness the Power of influence and Create Demand stated, there is a new group of consumer, the "metrosexual," men who are interested in shopping, appearance and trends. Generally in their 20s and 30s, these men are fashionably aware beyond the casual khakis and button-down shirt look.
If men take their fashion cues from their peers and role models, one need only look at the influence of a David Beckham to see the clothes are making the man. Beckham of course has a unique appeal to both genders in a sense that is he modern, masculine and successful. When having a haircut or wearing a sarong makes national news, his influence on a new generation of men is phenomenal.
And for those who think that menswear doesn't change very much season to season,
think again. It moves from starched to relaxed silhouette, from three buttons
to two, from flat-front trousers to pleats, from colour injections to black
and white hues. The current mode for slimline suits and item pieces -mixing
your Missoni jumper with Burberry Prorsum trousers - is a far cry from the early
80s relaxed silhouette and bionic man look. And if the average man is not going
to be wearing Paul Smith's bright coloured sandals and floral print shirts,
these are after all to get the attention of the press, they will be wearing
his new snug fitting and slim sleeve pin-striped suit, as this is the look that
hits the shelves.
