Ann Taylor loses president
Ann Taylor Stores Corporation announced on Friday that Kim Roy, President of its
Ann Taylor division, resigned from the company for personal reasons. Ms. Roy joined
Ann Taylor in May 2001. The Company has begun a search for a permanent successor
to Roy. Ann Taylor is one of the USA's leading women's specialty retailers, operating
585 stores in 42 states.
The brand is marketed under two divisions, Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft.
The Company's Ann Taylor stores compete in the "better" priced category,
and cater to the successful, relatively affluent career woman, who needs appropriate,
