Whistles Limited Edition
Wednesday, 29 August 2012 Contemporary womenswear retailer Whistles has launched its first Limited Edition line, which has an emphasis on exclusivity. Formed of 70 pieces, each item of the luxury collection will only be produced in batches of 20-50, and will feature both contemporary daywear and eveningwear, with key fabrics including leather, cashmere, silk crepe and jacquard.Daywear pieces include cashmere tracksuits, leather leggings and tops, as well as silk printed pyjama-style separates, whilst the eveningwear focuses covetable luxury items such as jacquard dresses and trousers.
Commenting on the new line, Jane Shepherdson, Whistles chief executive, said: "We decided to stretch our creative wings this year and allow ourselves the luxury of designing a small tightly-edited collection of what we consider to be the most covetable pieces of the season, in the most luxurious and desirable fabrics.
"When we had created it, we realised that we couldn't do without it, and it became our Limited Edition. It will only be available in a few places, and only a small number of each piece will be made, but it is the epitome of what Whistles is all about - effortless luxury."
Launched yesterday exclusive online at whistles.co.uk, the collection will be rolled out to selected premium Whistles stores as well as the brand’s concessions in Harvey Nichols and Harrods after September 6 when it launches in-store at the South Molton Street boutique as part of Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out celebrations. In addition, the Limited Edition line will also be sold in key international department stores such as Printemps, El Corte Ingles and Podium in Moscow.
