A dash of psychedelia and 60s and 70s retro summed up the bold prints and motifs at the Dries van Noten AW12 show. Mixing calligraphy and prints from Dutch artist Gijs Frieling, jackets, coats and shirts were nothing if not eye poppingly bold. But van Noten's eclectic tastes also meant there were softer pieces, like a beautiful military peacoat from the second exit, or a 3-button trench in textured khaki that made the haute hippie look feel modern and accessible.
