Livia Firth launches eco collectionFriday, 30 March 2012
The first piece in the collection to be released is the Skull Necklace, which incorporates two different traditions in its production, mixing present day artisan skills with techniques 4000 years old. Made by hand in a small artisan co-operative workshop in Devon, the necklace has been created using the ancient Egyptian technique of the Lost Wax Casting for the exquisite detail in the moulded skulls.
The intricate necklace can be worn in a variety of ways, either layered around the neck, worn long and loose, by knotting the skulls together, or as a statement bracelet, which Livia demonstrates in a short video clip.
"LFD has at its heart simplicity and glamour and a little bit of playfulness, which should always be part of our life!” said Firth.
The label is exclusive to her Eco Age website.
