Fashion East announces LFW lineup

Monday, 02 August 2010
Fashion East has announced the names of designers showcasing their spring 11 collections this September. Designers Heikki Salonen, Felicity Brown and Simone Rocha will show at the The Old Truman Brewery during London Fashion Week.

Fashion East is a non-profit organisation set up by The Old Truman Brewery in 2000. Each season young designers are selected by a panel of leading industry figures and given a bursary, catwalk show-production, PR support and expert advice to help them launch their labels. Originally off-schedule, Fashion East now has a slot on the official LFW timetable, consolidating its reputation for successfully scouting and presenting London’s best and bravest new talent. Initially a womenswear project, Fashion East then set up MAN in 2005, together with Topman, to address the need for a similar launch platform for London’s talented menswear designers.

Fashion East has a high profile and 10 year track record in the industry for launching future stars; scouting and working with some of the most exciting new designers and thus directly contributing to London’s reputation as the epicentre for creativity. “Fashion East is such a reliable next-big-thing barometer that it's no longer an off-schedule quirk but one of the official LFW schedule's hottest tickets” Style.com.

September marks the 10 year anniversary of Fashion East and Topshop continues to support the initiative for the 15th consecutive season.
