PFW: Dries van Noten SS13Thursday, 27 September 2012
Dries van Noten for sping 2013 stuck to his bohemian aesthetic of prints, this time with a masculine
edge, like inky plaids. They came down the runway in chiffon and ultra feminine fabrications, like organza and crepe.
Light, breezy and beautiful, van Noten showed wrapped jackets and sleeveless dresses tied loosely with a cord. Houndstooth mixed with checks, presenting a nonchalant take on grunge, with several striking looks in his 50 odd exits.
Perhaps most casual yet most important, was a printed organza pajama trouser worn with a blouse and a v-neck cashmere sweater. With van Noten's fabric knowledge and cuts, it could easily be labeled as grunge couture.
