British supermarket giant Tesco is launching new store concept across the globe.
The new ‘store’ will feature a wall with posters. All products will have their own QR-code, which consumers can scan with their smart phone and add to their online shopping chart. Tesco delivers all orders at home, and Home Plus - aka Tesco in South Korea - is responsible for the initiative.
According to the Belgium Gondola magazine, Tesco's new shopping experience is highly valued by people who travel per Metro. Tesco got an extra 10.000 customers following the introduction, and the number of online customers increased with 76%. Home Plus is the biggest provider of online food sale in South Korea.
