Online retailer Littlewoods has today announced record
sales for its online channel following the live broadcast launch of its exclusive collection by designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Broadcast via the Shop Direct-owned brand’s mobile Facebook page and mobile site, the furniture, lighting and homewares collection beat the online department store’s previous home and living record by 292 per cent.
Real-time interaction encouraging fans to discuss their views on the products and competition entries reached 3,800 with over 1,000 comments and questions posted during the broadcast.
“We were confident from the outset that there would be an appetite among both customers and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen fans for this type of innovative social media content and the sales figures have already more than justified our investment in the project,” explained Gary Kibble, Brand Director for Littlewoods.com.
