John Lewis to support UK manufacturing

Tuesday, 01 November 2011
Department store, John Lewis, has taken measures to  support UK manufacturing.

They will now install ‘Made in UK’ logos on products including their menswear range to highlight labels made in Britain.

The retailer believes consumers should be more aware as in some cases more than 90% of label ranges are home manufactured.

Christine Kasoulis, head of brand development at John Lewis, said: "The reason for doing this now is that there's a feeling that businesses should be doing more to support UK manufacturing."
