House of Fraser to sell on eBay

Tuesday, 11 October 2011
Department store House of Fraser has announced that it is working with e-commerce platform provider ChannelAdvisor to boost its brand presence and online sales. As part of the arrangement, the retailer is to use ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces platform to sell on eBay, joining other fashion retailers such as Superdry, Bench, Ted Baker and Jigsaw selling through eBay.

"ChannelAdvisor was the obvious choice for House of Fraser,” says Ray Kavanagh, Finance Director, House of Fraser. “Operating from one comprehensive product feed will allow us to streamline our strategy and reduce IT costs and on-going development work, whilst having a clear focus in real-time on sales and margin from one simple interface."

House of Fraser will be using ChannelAdvisor’s Managed Services for its Marketplaces campaigns. Kavanagh continues, “Knowing that e-commerce experts will be completely managing House of Fraser’s campaigns is very important. We will be updated with weekly status calls and quarterly account planning as well as receiving online strategy advice, all without using our own resources.”

ChannelAdvisor powers more than 3,000 retailers globally, including some of the largest retail brands such as Kitbag, Crocs, Speedo, and Victoria's Secret. The ChannelAdvisor platform provides software and services to help retailers sell more on multiple online channels including marketplaces such as Amazon, Pixmania and eBay, paid search engines such as Google and Yahoo!, comparison shopping engines such as Shopzilla and Nextag, and with webstore and rich media solutions.
