Friday, 01 June 2012

For the 21st anniversary of Graduate Fashion Week the organisers have pulled together a stellar line-up for this year’s judging panel. Joining Fiona Lambert from title sponsor George at Asda is Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, Suzy Menkes, and Daphne Guinness, who will all judge the prestigious £20,000 George Gold Award.

The event has also confirmed that other industry personalities will be joining the proceedings including designers Matthew Williamson, Mary Katrantzou, Mark Fast, John Rocha, as well as Sarah Curran from My Wardrobe, Marigay McKee from Harrods, and Ruth Chapman from Matches.

Graduate Fashion Week celebrates the work of more than 1,000 BA degree students from 39 universities from across the UK and internationally. Alongside the catwalk shows and exhibition there will be other events taking place as part of the 21st anniversary celebrations including live photoshoots, a blogging bar, a recruitment lounge, an autumn/winter 2013 trends forum on June 11 by the trend forecasting company and a series of Q&A sessions between Colin McDowell and young London designers whose careers are at various stages of development.

Graduate Fashion Week runs June 10-13 at Earls Court 2.
