Gallery International Fashion Fair: must-do for the international fashion industry

Tuesday, 31 January 2012

Fashion lovers will have undoubtedly noticed, the CFW promises to be an unforgettable week. From the 1st to 5th February 5 fairs are joining forces to offer the widest range of brands in the world – after Paris. The Gallery International Fashion Fair is known in particular for its unique fair floor where all self-respecting Scandinavia fashion labels can be found under one roof.

Where as many fashion fairs around the world have difficulty filling their squared metres, Gallery has a waiting list as long as your arm. It is a list that gets longer each season. The crème de la crème of the Scandinavian fashion scene is present alongside which international fashion designers are standing in line to show their collections on the unique fair floor. The counter has already reached 322 labels from 28 different countries, which includes such names as Peter Jensen, Henrik Vibskov, Marimekko and Minimarket.

The success of the fair is also undoubtedly due to the acclaimed catwalk shows at the authentic Danish Music Academy next door. This edition will see the 100th show making Gallery the largest presenter of catwalk shows in the world. To maintain their reputation Gallery is expanding once again and is showing collections from no less than 14 designers.

Gallery was the first CO2 neutral fair in the world and that trend continues during this coming fair. There is an organic theme to the culinary supplement and the program also includes plenty in the field of music. Basically, it’s a fair that should be visited at some point for sure. More than ever because CFW has grown into a fashion event of stature!

Gallery opens its doors on Thursday, 2nd February. The fair is open for three days (up to Saturday 4th February) from 09:00 and this season the closing time has been extended to 19:00.
