Scandinavian design is doing well in the world of fashion, which won’t have escaped anyone’s
attention. This is therefore the reason why many fashion lovers travel to Copenhagen on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of February, to visit the Gallery International Fair. Not only will you find all the leading Scandinavian designers under one roof, but the fair is being held at the same time as the Copenhagen Fashion Week. In other words: the Danish City of Fashion at its best!
In the current market, orientation has become more important than ever and yet few entrepreneurs visit international trade fairs. What a waste, because it’s precisely on the trade fair floor where much needed innovation can be found. This is also the case at the Gallery’s innovative trade fair. Since the first edition in 2006, the Danish fashion fair has developed into a leading fashion platform, where the Scandinavian fashion statement is professionally delivered. Quality, innovation and wear-ability – or beautiful simplicity – are the famous qualities with which recognisably Scandinavian fashion has put itself on the world map. Those qualities therefore logically form the foundations for the trade fair. In recent years the Gallery has attracted– besides Scandinavian talent – a number of innovative designers from around the world to show their collections. The Danish fair has thereby developed itself into perhaps, the platform for established and up and coming designer talent. You can count on an impressive display of exclusive women and men’s clothes, accessories, shoes, bags and jewellery.
With no less than 11,500 visitors during last winter’s edition, the Gallery has become an established fashion event and for good reason. As well as collections from famous Scandinavian brands such as Rika, By Marlene Birger, NN07, Peter Jensen, Samsøe & Samsøe and Bruuns Bazar, you can find international top brands like Maison Scotch, R59th, Lee Jeans and Fred Perry and there are a variety of spectacular shows to visit. Above all, the Copenhagen Fashion Week and the trendy city centre as such are already great reasons for visiting one of Europe’s leading fashion cities.
