Fendi appoints new general manager
Tuesday, 03 July 2012Fendi, the Italian luxury house that is part of the LVMH portfolio,
has announced it has appointed Jean-Marc Gallot as the new general manager of the Roman fashion house.
Mr Gallot will be responsible for managing the brand’s development in the next few years, which is currently designed by Karl Lagerfeld.
Gallo, who was previously at Louis Vuitton, will succeed Philippe Fortunato who will move on to become the new Louis Vuitton president in China, and will report directly to the new managing director Pietro Beccari.
Gallot, 47, has had a long career in the luxury sector, which includes stints at Cartier, Christofle, and at LVMH in Louis Vuitton and Ruinart, historical champagne manufacturer.
