Diesel Black Gold appoints Andreas Melbostad

Diesel Black Gold have appointed Norwegian designer Andreas Melbostad as its new creative director.

The news comes after the company announced it is parting ways with London-based designer Sophia Kokosalaki

Melbostad is currently a design consultant for Italian brand Roberto Cavalli previously held positions at Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein.

Earlier this month it was announced Diesel and Kokosalaki were parting ways and Melbostad is expected to take up his role from October this year.

Kokosalaki's last collection for Diesel Black Gold will be shown during New York Fashion Week next month.
