Tuesday, 01 November 2011
British fashion label Alexander McQueen has opened its first boutique in China over the weekend. The two-storey, 400 sq m store is located in Sanlitun North Village, Beijing’s luxury retail development, and houses ready-to-wear men, womenswear, accessories and has a dedicated VIP area.

The brand’s creative director Sarah Burton flew in for the launch and on Saturday the house restaged its autumn/winter 2011 show with a cast of Chinese models.

McQueen follows other luxury labels including Prada, Burberry and Christian Dior to Asia, and will be joined by British label, Stella McCartney, also owned by PPR, in China in the next 12 to 15 months.
