Head Buyer


Location : Paris
Salary : 80,000 Euros to 120,000 Euros

An exciting opportunity has come available for a head of buying to join a Global fast fashion ladies retailer at the Creative office in Paris managing the Denim, Trousers and Outerwear categories!!
The company specialise in ladies high street fashion, the brand that strive to be highly trend focused and provide their clientele with latest trends in store, their motto is feminine and fun. It is a fast passed environment that is highly reactive to there customer needs.
As a head of buying it is essential that you have a high sensibility for product and new trends with a strong past experience in ladies fast fashion. This company have some very exciting plans to drive the brand into new markets and expand there customer base, as a head of buying this position will be pivotal to growth and develop of the company in ensuring the collection is bang on trend.


As the Head of Buying your main responsibilities will be:
  • To develop a collection that is highly trend focused and meets the customer needs in a timely manner
  • Work closely with other departments to define the collection strategy and ensure cohesive collections that are bang on trend
  • Fully responsible for planning and allocating the OTB
  • Ensuring quick reaction and weekly adaptation to product decision based on sales results
  • Develop and implement an effective buying strategy ensuring that products arrive on time in stores and meet all quality standards
  • Source and develop strong relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Work closely with other departments to adapt merchandising strategy ensuring strong variation in products and weight of various families for different market
  • Lead and empower your team so everyone is striving to achieve the same goals ensuring strong motivation and effective professional development for all direct reports.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated to achieve new levels of success with a dynamic and open personality. Experience within the northern European markets will be highly advantageous. A minimum of 6 to 7 years experience in buying is required with a very strong experience in management of a team. This position will report directly to the buying director and offers a generous package, fluent English skills are essential and additional languages such as French and German would be a real advantage.
