For the little ones, Ralph Lauren just opened the doors of its second London children’s store on Fullham Road. For kids through to boys age 16 and girls age 12, the 4,200 square feet shop set over 2 floors features the full children’s clothing range. The ground floor showcases Infant & Toddler
and Layette, while the lower level has a varsity sensibility with older boys and girls merchandise.
The store’s design was inspired by the Madison Avenue Ralph Lauren children’s store in New York, customised to fit in with London’s Fulham Road shopping neighbourhood. The traditional façade recalls the shop fronts of turn of the century London. The interior exhibits stained mahogany and painted millwork, highlighted by vintage wood floors and wall coverings. Toys, games and stuffed animals give the shop a homey feel and like the New Bond Street store, there’s a saltwater aquarium. Seems all usual suspects are in place for a Saturday shopping session, let's see if the kids agree. Image: Ralph Lauren
