Harrods Senses E-mail
Wednesday, 16 January 2008
From 4th February to 28th March, Harrods customers are challenged to experience the department store in a new way. During 'Senses', customers are encouraged to look, touch, smell, taste and listen to music. Music curators Nathan Jones and Dominic Drew of Cantaloupe Music will co-ordinate sounds effects with scents. In Men's Tailoring, the scent of a new car will be combined with the sounds of revving engines, car doors shutting and electric windows. Manish Arora has created a glow in the dark dress as part of his Pop Art inspired SS08 collection. A special digital print was used and crystallized Swarovski elements are incorporated with embroidery techniques. Natura Bisse launches the new Mineral Magnetic Therapy to purify and cleanse your skin and bring back the balance to body and mind.

Other sense experiences include to launch of the Ultimate Bed from Vi-Spring, which is made entirely by hand; Dior's new L'Or de Vie regenerating eye crème; and The Aroma Co will be using a variety of scents around the store to provoke memories. Vanilla and chocolate will feature in Ladies Shoes and freshly mown grass in Garden Living.

During Senses, an exhibition of Guida Daniele will be on display. The Italian artist is an exceptional body painter, who made a series of human hands and turned into works of animal art. In-store he will be doing demonstrations of his innovative and unusual craft.
