Event agency Maxima Mallorca C.B. managed by two Germans is scheduled to host its first luxury and lifestyle fair on the resort island Mallorca. The organisers announced that the event with the titled 'Privilege Summer Fair' is aimed to-wards wealthy foreigners domiciled in Mallorca and will launch on 19 and 20 July.

More than 30 exhibitors will present their products for two days set over approximately 1,700m2 in Hotel BlauPortoPetro Beach Resort & Spa. In addition, Maxima Mallorca announced that a gala dinner and the “Moda Mallorca 2008” fashion show will be held as social highlight on Saturday night, designed to increase the presence of celebrities and splendour on the Balearic Island. The fair takes into account the constantly growing demand for luxury items, which appears to increasingly dominate the life of Germans in the favourite vacationing paradise. For years, Mallorca has continued to develop into a luxury destination and as a result the demand for luxury items and exclusive services on the island has been growing steadily, the two heads of the agency Markus Mayer and Niki Christian Nutsch explain. Privilege Fair is designed to accommodate this development and to ‘create a platform for corresponding brands on the Balearic Islands for the first time, allowing the lively exchange between suppliers and consumers’. The two expatriates attach great importance to the proper staging of the ‘Moda Mallorca 2008’ fashion show, which is supposed to bring the fair to a downright glamorous conclusion on Saturday night. Parts of it will be aired on television across Europe. The organisers are well aware that the idea of a luxury fair is not new. In fact, ‘Privilege Fair’ joins an event concept that has previously celebrated great successes in Amsterdam, Vienna and Moscow. However, in contrast to these fairs, the event in Mallorca is manageable and unique, alone based on its Mediterra-nean ambience. According to the organisers Markus Mayer and Niki Christian Nutsch of Maxime Mallorca as well as Oguz Birced and Denise Daraud de De-ban of the hotel BlauPortoPetro, they hope to establish the fair as ‘sustainable rendezvous for extraordinary people from Mallorca and all over Europe’. This is a challenging claim because luxury fairs are popping up everywhere. A few weeks ago a similar event was debuted in Munich. Whether the concept is well received on the Balearic Island will be seen in the summer, when ‘Privilege Fair’ premieres. The fair will be open on 19 and 20 July 2008, from 11:00 am to 08:00 pm. Ad-mission is 35 Euros (free for children under 12, reduced price for youth under the age of 18) and includes finger food and beverages.
