Yesterday the international final of the Triumph Inspiration Award 2008 took place in Beijing. Lingerie label Triumph declared Midori Matsuo,
20 from Japan as the most inspiring designer.
Budding designer Midori Matsuo convinced the judging panel with her design “Under Skin”. She will receive a cash prize of Euro 15,000 and will also see the winning piece adapted and interpreted by the Triumph design team. The design will lead to a series production, which will be sold in selected Triumph stores worldwide. Theresa Bachler, 21, Germany with the design “Once Upon a Time…” will receive Euro 10,000 and Stine Fagervik-Rosèn, 28, Norway with "Desire for Beautiful Trash" will receive Euro 5,000. Viktor & Rolf, Helena Christensen and Ellen von Unwerth were among the judging panel to choose the winner.
