Mulberry is expanding it's successful accessories business with eyewear. The company, famous for its exquisite leather luggage and bags this
season collaborated with cult London designer and vintage label Cutler & Gross on a five-piece collection of sunglasses.
It is inspired by Cutler & Gross archive pieces from the early Eighties and Nineties, and will make its debut later this month. Cutler & Gross founder Monica Chong told WWD Thursday, "We've made classic pieces, but with a modern twist. We have always admired Mulberry. They are very British, like us." The five Mulberry eyewear designs will include a classic aviator, along with pieces dubbed Betsie, Jackie, Francis and Debbie. Each is handmade in France or Italy and priced at 225 pounds. |
