Leading sustainable wellness and beauty brand, Aveda will turn New York Fashion Week AW08 green by suppling recyclable water
bottles. Aveda joined forces with various designers to make fashionista's more aware of the environment. Together with the following 6 designers, Rag and Bone, Rodarte, Thakoon, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Edun, Aveda is replacing plastic water bottles for New York's tap water. Per show 300 plastic bottles will be saved. Backstage, the beauty brand will supply recyclable aluminum bottles filled with tap water.
The designers also agreed not to use fur, serve organic food, and print their programmes on post-consumed recycled paper.
