Abercrombie & Fitch is an American clothing retailer. David T. Abercrombie originally established the company as Abercrombie Co. in 1892. Ezra Fitch, one of his regular customers left his law practice and bought a major share into the growing company in 1900. Fitch's surname was incorporated and so the official name was changed to Abercrombie & Fitch Co in 1904.
