Fabrizio Malverdi, currently managing director of Mila Schön, is said to be joining John Galliano as top manager. He is said to be leaving the Mariella Burani Fashion Group in Italy to join Galliano's team in September. According to WWD, this exact title is not yet known, but he is expected to succeed Valerie Hermann, who quit Galliano as president and head of women's ready-to-wear at Christian Dior last year to join Yves Saint Laurent as chief executive. In the meantime, Dior chief executive Sidney Toledano is acting as Galliano president. Malverdi will report to Toledano. Malverdi joined Burani in 2000 as director of the Calvin Klein division. He previously worked at Benetton, La Perla and Staff International in Europe and the US.
