Lee Jeans is celebrating the 10 th anniversary of its programme which promotes the wearing of jeans to work by it employees in exchange for a $5 donation to the Susan G. Kromen Breast Cancer Foundation. The money goes to breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programmes. "There is still time to sign up and participate in the 10-year anniversary of Lee National Denim Day. The next two weeks are very important to this programme because it is during this time that companies are engaging employees in activities and spreading the life-saving message of early detection," said Kathy Collins, vice president of marketing and communications for Lee Jeans. Last year over 27,500 companies contributed to raise $8.5 million in one day. The goal this year is to raise $10 million in one day. Lee National Day was founded in 1996 and has raised more than $52 million for breast cancer programmes. |
