From catwalk to High Street E-mail
Saturday, 18 March 2006

Retailers are positive this season that key looks from the autumn/winter 06 catwalks will successfully be translated by the high street. Looks such as checks (Balenciaga) cropped jackets (Chloe), chunky knits (Missoni, Marc Jacobs) will be the key styles to be found in high street favorites such as TopShop, Miss Selfridge et al.

Retailers picked out the most influential designers and shows from the international fashion and were positive about the high street offer to be on trend.

Topshop brand director Jane Shepherson told Drapers: "Dresses are still very strong for autumn, which is good news as they are working well in store at the moment. Knitwear is particularly exciting with chunky and cable styles looking fresh."
