The Sunday Times Style predicted it, designers have re-styled it, and retailers are buying it. Next season sparks the death of the skinny, spray-on jean. Bored of the carrot-cum-leg-look, straightleg and baggy boyfriend jeans are the key denim styles for autumn. Note: hipster, bumster and flared are not part of the trend. Superfine has already introduced a baggy jean and is branching out into other styles and washes. America may still only be selling skinny jeans, but in London they've been around for three seasons and its time to move on. That means you too, Kate. Labels to watch out for are Denim of Virtue, ThreeAsFour and Earnest Sewn. |
