Singer Jay Kay will embark on a career in fashion by launching a line with Hugo Boss. He told Vogue that he was on his way to Japan to finalise details of the partnership with Boss executives. "It's going to be very small - about 10 or 12 pieces," he said.

Jay Kay, who is known for his eccentric choice in headwear, said that the line would not focus on hats. "What I don't want to do is jump on the hip hop bandwagon and just add my name to a piece of clothing that looks a lot like last year's line," he said. He told Vogue that he imagines a line aimed at jet setters.
